1. Name and city/town you live in?
Tim, Brigita and Jacob outside Camrose, AB

2. What you sell and why?
We are a husband and a wife team, specializing in manufacturing and retailing wooden doll furniture, dollhouses and accessories. Tim does all the wood part cutting and assembly, I do painting, upholstering, decorating... It keeps us pretty busy. We believe there is a market for a simple, sturdy, open-ended wooden toys that hold up for years and are children- friendly.

3. When and how you got started?
The very beginnings of our family business can be found about 25 years ago, it was created by my in-laws Carl and Irene, who run the family store - Daisy Dollhouse in St.Albert and are a big part of the business. As we got familiar with Etsy, Tim and me loved the idea of introducing our product online and decided to create our own little shop, as we are now offering items with a natural beeswax finish.

4. How did you decide on your shop name?
That was easy! Our son Jacob was the inspiration.

5. Is there an item in your shop you enjoyed making the most and why?
I enjoy picking out fabrics for upholstering doll beds, couches, sofa chairs etc. It's always fun, as it adds personality to each piece. Designing new products from customer's ideas and suggestions is always a creative process.

6. What’s your favourite part of the selling experience?
Connecting with a customer, receiving great comments on our product.

7. Do you have a day job?
As we supply the Daisy Dollhouse store and retail online, it keeps us busy all year long. When it gets closer towards Christmas Season, there is no shortage of work. :)

8. Are there other crafts you’d like to try?
I always wanted to try soapmaking. I have always admired people who are passionate about it, as it is such a creative process.

9. Any “little known facts” about yourself you’d like to share (anything!)?
We love travelling. We are planning to visit Jacob's overseas Grandma and Grandpa soon:)
